Changelog
Version 1.1 · June 2026
The biggest update since launch. A lot landed here: new ways to get events into Tempo, a much larger catalog of ready-made sources, and a faster, more capable timeline.
New
- Apple Shortcuts & Focus. Send anything from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac straight into your timeline: a Focus turning on or off, bedtime, arriving home, or a tap on a Shortcut you built yourself. A new Shortcuts source ties it all together.
- Encrypted ingestion. Turn on TLS for the senders that need it, one at a time. It's off by default (the plain local-network path stays the easy default), and you require it per sender when the data or the network calls for it.
- A dozen new bundled sources. The catalog is now twenty ready-made sources and growing: this release adds Beszel, Jellyfin, Jellyseerr, Sonarr, Radarr, Prowlarr, Vaultwarden, Pi-hole, Synology, Todoist, the new Shortcuts source, and an experimental Fastmail calendar. Install any of them with one click from Manage Sources.
- Timeline filter. Flip between everything on the timeline and just what needs your attention.
- Activity heatmap. See a source's recent activity at a glance, right in its panel.
- Remove a source. Manage Sources now removes a source (keeping or clearing its history), not only installs one.
Improved
- Faster and lighter. The timeline stays smooth and memory stays low even with tens of thousands of events.
- Search that takes you there. Click a result to jump straight to the event and its actions.
- Actions that know when to hide. A button that needs information an event didn't include now stays out of the way instead of sitting there broken.
- Backups and cleanup. Scheduled and on-demand backups to a folder you choose, plus automatic history trimming so the database doesn't grow forever.
- A sound on new events. Optional, per source, with a single master switch.
- Tidier sources. Related sources group neatly under one parent (UniFi, Hazel, Apple), and the source list stays clean.
- Help that finds the right page. The macOS Help menu lists every guide chapter, so a search lands on the topic you need.
Fixed
- Many fixes across the timeline, sources, and event handling: fewer surprises and steadier counts throughout.
Releases before 1.1 predate this page. The current build and its checksum are always on the downloads page.
